Have you been washing your baby in the sink? Maybe bath time has been in one of those little baby tubs perched up on the bathroom counter, or kitchen counter top. Why not go ahead and get your baby down into the big bathtub with a baby bath seat, and have some real fun.
Washing your baby in the sink, or even in a baby tub on the counter is not a bad idea, it just is not much fun for either of you. Their little hands are finding opportunities to grab for scrub brushes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, and all kinds of essentials. By getting your baby down in the bath tub you move their hands away from all the temptations, and get them splashing in the water.
A baby bath seat is what you will want to make moving your baby into the tub a fun and safe activity. The bath seat allows them to sit up, kick their feet, swat their hands, and have fun playing with a few bath toys. It gives them all the support they need to stay safely upright, without any risk of sliding down into the water.
You can even find baby bath seats for your newborn infants if you are wanting to avoid one of the little baby bath tubs. They give you a nice seat which lets you lay the baby down safely in the bath tub, and give them their bath. It keeps the mess right down in the tub where it is easy to cleanup, instead of having a tub up on the counter which you need to drain and put away.
Another reason you may choose to go with a baby bath seat instead of a small tub is for the future. By getting your baby used to playing in the big tub, they never think anything about the transition. They have always taken their bath in the big tub.
If you have more children the baby bath seat adds another chapter to the fun. Get your infant setup in the bath seat and then let another child join them for some water play time. They will both be splashing, laughing, and having a great time.
Many of the baby bath seats come equipped with entertaining toys built right on to them. This helps cut down your clean up time even more. Instead of needing more toys for the tub, just let them play with the toys on the seat.
Some of the tub seats work very well in wading pools outdoors, too. When summer hits, you can take the little tyke outside, along with the baby bath seat, and have them sitting in the pool playing with the other kids.
As with any item which puts your baby in water, you must always stay attentive and nearby. Baby bath seats are very safe, but babies are also very curious, and very busy. Make sure you stay right by them for the entire bath time. You are going to have as much fun as them, and probably get just about as wet as they kick, swat, and have fun in the water.
