Are you starting to enjoy the game of watching your baby eating? It becomes especially fun once they start eating baby food, and getting finger foods.
Once your baby begins eating baby food you will have the experience of seeing the cutest faces ever. You will see faces twisted in disgust at some of the new flavors they sample. Some flavors will have them smiling and almost begging for the next bite. If you are not getting some pictures of your baby eating you are really missing some of the best photos of your baby.
The funny faces get even better when the food misses the mouth and ends up smeared all over their face. Your baby suddenly has a green mustache and beard from eating peas. The little yellow you see appearing below their nose is not mucus, it is the bananas which were smeared by busy little fingers up into the nose.
One thing you quickly discover when feeding your baby, they have very fast hands. You thought it was safe to put the bowl of baby food on the high chair because they seemed so calm. You glance away for once second and out of the corner of your eye you see the bowl go flying to the floor. This is followed by a giggling baby who has just discovered a new game. You will now need to be extra careful when you put the bowl on the high chair. The chair is no longer just for the baby eating, it is now a new entertainment area for them.
Finger foods are the most fun. When you give them little cereal rings, tiny pieces of fruit, and other goodies, you never know where you will find them. It looks like they are busy eating the finger foods until you pick them up. Then you discover food in their clothes, their diaper, under their seat, and all over the floor. Babies are magic, the food which appears to be going in their mouth mysteriously and magically appears all over the house.
Taking pictures of your baby eating is one great way to capture the experience, but an even better way is to take baby videos. You might even discover on the replay how your little magician is making all of that food reappear in new and unusual places.
Where does baby food really belong? The answer is very simple. It belongs where ever their little fingers go. You will want to make sure you restrict where your baby eats, because if you don’t you will soon discover streaks of apple sauce on your new big screen TV. You will find crumbs from the teething biscuit deeply embedded in your computer keyboard. You will discover when baby eating time arrives, the pets quickly appear to share in the feast. Just smile, take pictures and videos, and enjoy the experience. It only lasts for a short while, and then you will be wishing the fun would come back.
