Now that my son is 4 and we are planning our first post stroller Disney trip I have some serious stroller regret. I had the traditional car seat bundle stroller and enjoyed it. I never liked the umbrella stroller becasue of the lack of below storage and poor manuverablity on anything that wasn't totally flat.

The "carts" that could have the carseat attached were not really around when I registered, but if I were doing it again that is what I would go for. I would have gotten the trolley (not the whole stroller bundle) for the car seat and a jogging stroller. Just becasue it is called a jogging stroller it doesn't mean you can't use it on the mall or anyplace else. They are agile and usually have a storage bin below. In addition they have a longer shelf life because they are high off the ground. They are great for older children. This is especially important in the double stroller situation where you might want to keep an older child in the stroller to make shopping etc. easier when you are managing multiple kids who all want to wander off in different directions. It is also good if you travel a lot like our family does. We have time share at Disney and go frequently. We took my 7 year old niece last time and she asked if she could possible take a break in the stroller on one late night in the park. If we had a jogger she might have managed it (heck I think I could sit in some of those joggers). Now I am purchasing a jogger just for when we travel. We will likely only get a year or 2 out of it so I wish that I had gone that way to begin with.

Finally I was just talking with my mother recently about how when she was younger people kept kids in strollers a little longer. Now a days you see parents out with a 2 year old and no stroller this just makes more work for the parents. The problem is at 2 your childs feet will already be dragging on an umbrella stroller (we lost 2 shoes on our last vaction because a dragging feet). It makes life easier, especially in crowded places, to have the piece of mind that your child is in the stroller and can't wander off. Go with the jogger, or like me you might be buying one later anyway becasue it is the only option for a older child, or a child who is tall for their age.
