Baby Week by Week Journal and Photo Album

Ready for one of your most important assignments as the parent of a newborn? You need to start doing a baby week by week journal and photo album of your baby. Today you believe you are going to keep up with the baby book, and with taking pictures, but it takes discipline.

The number one reason you will forget to keep up is because life is going to get busy with your infant. You will be busy preparing food, running to relatives, washing clothes, and all those critical tasks. If you forget to keep up with a journal and photo album you will kick yourself.

The best way is to setup a baby week journal. Every week put in at least a picture or two, and make a few notes about your baby. If you schedule a time every week to keep up a journal of your baby at the end of your baby’s first year of life you will have 52 pages of history. You will have a better record of your baby’s first year of life than almost anyone else. This record will become more valuable to you with each passing year. Being able to look back and see those magical days and weeks may even bring a tear to your eye.

By establishing a habit of doing a baby week by week journal, you will discover it is easy to continue creating a history of your children. This historical record of their lives will be enjoyed by both you and your children as they get older and want to remember how they were as children.

What should you include in a week by week baby journal? You should write down any firsts which occurred during the week. Include any health issues they have. Include notes about who visited, where you went with your baby, and any new gifts you received. Make sure to add a picture or two each week. You will shocked to see the amazing changes which can happen on a week by week basis with your baby. Without comparative pictures, you will never notice the subtle changes.

How much time will you need to schedule to keep a baby week by week journal? Amazingly 20 to 30 minutes per week is all it should take you. You will have just lived through the week and everything is fresh on your mind. You can write down some quick thoughts, add a picture or two, and you are finished for a week. You must never put off the process to the next week, or you will end up quitting on your journal.

It may feel like you are making a big commitment, but picture yourself in 18 years when your baby is graduating high school. Do you want to have the memories recorded, or just trust your memory? Do you want to be able to share the life story you have carefully helped to create, or try to remember a little tidbit from here and there? The investment in time will be rewarded with pure joy. A baby week by week journal and album will become the most treasured book in your home, and one your children will want to steal.
