As you are struggling and searching to come up with some unusual baby girl names you need to exercise a little caution.

As you are struggling and searching to come up with some unusual baby girl names you need to exercise a little caution. How often have you heard some odd, strange, or weird name uttered by a celebrity or even someone in your community for the name of their new child. It is a name which is going to be considered strange throughout their life.

Obviously, some children thrive with strange names, and use it to their advantage to stand out and be recognized. Other kids become timid and feel teased all the time about their names. This second group is the one you need to worry about your child falling into. It takes highly supportive parents taking the time to teach their children the love of being unique to have their children move into the first group.

We are done with the warnings, let us take a look at some fun ways to come up with unusual baby names, ways you can have fun playing to discover new names.

One fun way to come up with unusual baby names is to consider names from wildly different cultures. When you start exploring names from China, India, or any other countries with unique languages you will find many great names which are very uncommon in your community. Many of these names sound great, or can be slightly modified to become even more special.

Another fun place to look for unique names is in the heavens. Grab a book of star names and start browsing. Many stars and galaxies have unique, beautiful sounding names which would make unusual baby girl names which sound beautiful. The great thing about this idea is you can then show them where in the sky their name comes from. You can tell them they are the shining star of your life.

An additional way to come up with unique names for your baby girl is by taking parts of one name and combining it with parts of other names. This idea is what has led to many great names which today have become more common and loved. You can use this idea by looking through baby name books, Biblical names, or names from around the world.

Have you noticed how science fiction, fantasy movies and books seem to be filled with clever names for the creatures the writers create? This is a fun place to start looking for name ideas for you baby. Start rolling down through the female creatures in the movie or book and looking at all their names. You will quickly start coming up with a list of very interesting names which you can use, or recombine to make you own.

Unusual baby girl names are not hard to come up with, it just takes a little time and effort on your part. You can create a name which is unique, beautiful, but not weird sounding. The story of how your baby’s name was created needs to be recorded so you can share the story with them as they grow. The adventure of creating a name for your baby can be great fun.

Did you just discover you are pregnant? Your mind is probably reeling, your heart beating a little faster in excitement. When should you start thinking about baby names?

Did you just discover you are pregnant? Your mind is probably reeling, your heart beating a little faster in excitement. You have many decisions to start making about the nursery, doctors, and baby names. When should you start thinking about baby names?

Choosing baby names can be either very stressful, or a fun game for both the expectant mother and father. One of the best ways to avoid the feeling of stress is to start playing with baby names early in the pregnancy. You can grab baby name books, start writing down names you hear on the television, see in magazines, and hear in conversations. Turn the entire process of choosing baby names into a big exploration and discovery game.

Some doctors and psychologists recommend waiting to start thinking about baby names until after your first trimester. This period of time is when you have the highest risk of a miscarriage. The concern is choosing baby names, and making a very emotional attachment, and then having the disaster of a miscarriage. As you probably already feel in your heart, the attachment is already there. Whether you have a name or not, the loss would be tremendous. While you can choose to wait until later to choose the final name, you can begin having the fun, and bonding of thinking about baby names now.

The best reason to start thinking about baby names early is to give both of you time to let the names age in your mind. Sometimes the baby names you think sound great today, sound terrible in a week or two. Having an opportunity to reflect on your choices of names allows you to choose the perfect name for your baby.

Make sure as you start thinking about baby names to choose names for both boys and girls. It is always safer to have both names ready, just in case the ultrasound was misunderstood, and your expected little girl has a little extra surprise for you. Having the shock of needing to choose a name in an emergency manner is never fun.

Is there any good reasons to wait until late in the pregnancy to start thinking about baby names? There is one fantastic reason, nosy parents and friends. Once you have selected names, then everyone keeps quizzing you, and trying to trick you into telling the name. They want to be the first to know. If you have not selected the name, you cannot tell them, so no worries about leaking the name.

The best part of choosing baby names is the constant reminder and bond you begin creating. Your mind begins to think of the baby growing inside as a real person, with a real name. You are able to start talking to your baby by their name long before they are born. The joy you feel is increased when you can use a name, and not only saying “baby”. Go ahead, start thinking about baby names immediately, it is one of the fun elements of being pregnant.

You’ve started getting the nursery ready. You know whether it is a boy or girl. You even bought a couple baby name books, but you just can’t seem to come up with any unique baby names. It’s time to put away the baby books, and start exploring.

Unique baby names are not going to be found in a book. Once a name enters the book you already know one thing, it is about to become a much more common name. When you’ve decided you want to step away from the ordinary, you’ll discover finding names can be a great game.

Why don’t you try finding an out of this world name? One interesting place to look for unique baby names is in a listing of star names, not movie stars, real stars. You can find names like Saiph, Sirrah, or Celaeno. With 100′s or even thousands of star names available to review, you’re going to find many interesting names to get your mental gears turning.

Another unusual place to get ideas for unique baby names is in the chemical book of elements. Iridium could become Iridia, for a cute girls name. For a boy, Mendelevium could be Delevi, on second thought that looks very close to Devilish, maybe not a good idea. The idea to to use these unusual words to spur your imagination, and help you come up with new and unique baby names.

One fun place to help you spur your imagination is a list of animal names. Don’t just look at the names, but start thinking about their traits. Brainstorm ideas for unique baby names, you’ll be surprised what you come up with.

Hopefully you did not throw away your book of names. Now that your mind is churning and exploring, return to your book of names and put on your thinking hat. Start taking parts of names and combining them with parts of other names. You’ll be amazed at the number of unique baby names you will create. You could combine Rhiannon and Roselani, and come up with Rhialani, Liannon, Olani, and who knows how many more.

Unique baby names really come down to one thing, play. You just need to play with every name, every idea, and see what you come up with. If you’re still stuck, get a few friends together, and play these games together. They are going to see ideas which completely slipped past you.

The most important part of this entire exercise, write down every name you come up with that you’re even partially interested in. Come back to your list a few days later, and start throwing away the names which are a definite no, and looking again at the ones which you are interested in. You may come up with even more ideas as you review your list.

Getting out of your normal way of thinking, and spending some time in exploring and creating, is sure to help your discover many unique baby names. Your problem this time may be choosing which of those great names to use.
