Have you noticed how heavy your little baby is? After carrying your baby around all day, trying to work with only one hand, your entire body can be exhausted. Baby slings may be the perfect answer, for many reasons.

The first way baby slings will give you relief is with freedom of your hands. You can still keep your baby safely with you as you move about the house taking care of simple household chores. Instead of battling to hold your baby in one arm while you pick up things with the other hand, you will have both hands free.

Baby slings can also be very beneficial for your health. Most parents develop a preferred arm for carrying their baby. You have the added weight to one side, and then you wonder why your back is sore at night. Your back has been working to compensate, and has been moving at a slight tilt the entire day. With a baby sling, the weight moves more to your center, and your back remains straight. Baby slings do not remove all the pressure on your back, since you will be carrying added weight in front of you. At least this is a more normal position for carrying weight, and one your body can safely adjust to.

Using baby slings is not only for your benefit, but also for your baby’s. Your young baby spend nine months securely tucked inside of you. Feeling safe, protected, and comfortable while feeling your body’s normal motions. Your baby grew accustomed to hearing the sounds of your body. Baby slings bring the baby back into a position of comfort, safely against your body, or their father’s body. Yes, even daddies with their strong arms can benefit from a sling. They also want the freedom to move about the house, and to help out.

Taking your young baby out for a walk, or to the grocery store is also much more enjoyable when you use baby slings. Instead of having the baby in a stroller, or infant carrier, you can have your baby safely up against you, while still using both hands in the store. Your baby will be quieter, and feel safer when against your body.

Not only will your baby feel safer, they are safer. When you’re out with your baby, you may feel nervous stepping even a few feet away from them. You fear someone may grab your infant, or some accident could occur. When your baby is safely tucked inside a baby sling, they move with you, and are in one of the safest places in the world. Your baby may actually be safer than if you are carrying them. There is less chance of dropping your child, or accidentally bumping them, when they are closely held against your body.

If you had not considered using baby slings before, hopefully you now see why so many parents love them. They are a great benefit to parents and their baby. You are going to love having more freedom of movement.
